2016 AAUW Book Scholarship
We will be looking for girls and women who are returning or currently enrolled in college. The applicant must live in the Southwest Valley area which includes Avondale, Litchfield Park, Goodyear, Tolleson, Buckeye, Waddell, Cashion, and Tonopah plus any West Valley communities as yet not designated.
There were two $300 book scholarships awarded in 2014 to Kimberly Butler and Roxanne Carter. One $300 book scholarship was awarded in 2015 to Candie Whitlock who is currently attending Estralla Mountain Community College. In 2016, Kandy Whitlock again was awarded the $300 scholarship. She attended our last meeting of the year and gave a very moving presentation of her educational journey. All were very impressed by her enthusiasm and dedication.
